The person behind the inspection

Experience built
from the ground up.

I started my career in commercial and residential construction as a carpenter. I went on to study architecture after high school and worked for a Louisville architectural firm for six years.

Since then, I have worked as a project manager/estimator for local general contractors, building numerous projects around the region from the “ground up.”

In addition to my well-rounded knowledge of all trades, I am qualified as a Certified Structural Technician (CST) with the Olshan Foundation Company, which specializes in foundation repair and water management. I have done thousands of property inspections since 2013 and love the process of learning and teaching about the homes I inspect.

Residential inspections

Feel at home
with the facts.

Whether you are buying, selling, or caring for a home, a thoughtful inspection gives you a clearer view of its condition.

We look at visible structural components, roofing and exterior surfaces, interior spaces, plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. Then we explain the difference between safety or material concerns and the maintenance every home eventually needs.

Commercial inspections

A closer look at
the bigger picture.

Commercial properties require their own questions. We tailor the inspection scope to your building and your reason for evaluating it—purchase, sale, or ongoing ownership.

From offices and retail spaces to multi-family, hospitality, warehouses, and light-industrial facilities, our construction and project-management perspective helps identify the areas that deserve attention. Typical scope can include roofing, structure, interiors, major systems, exteriors, and parking areas.

Additional Services

The details worth
looking into.

Some questions call for a more focused look. Ask us what belongs alongside your inspection and how each service is arranged.

Mold Testing

Testing to help investigate potential mold or moisture concerns, with results explained in context—not a medical diagnosis.

Sewer Scopes

When appropriate, 502 Inspections can coordinate a sewer-line scope performed by a qualified outside provider.

In their words

Confidence is
earned.

“Mike has done inspections for us on our last two purchases. He is thorough, professional, and we have felt well informed about any issues or potential issues that we may encounter. I especially appreciate his ability to communicate in a teaching way to explain construction, electrical or plumbing issues I am unfamiliar with. The report we receive at the end is very well done. Totally worth the investment!”
